JERRY
TIDAL Executive Director, Divemaster

My name is Jerry Vogt, the journey for me began not on the open road, but beneath the waves. My life's work as a professional diver started in the 90's, where my path was continually shaped by the pull of the water. I was drawn to the vast, unseen world that covers most of our planet, and my career became a testament to my dedication to exploring it.
My expertise quickly became an invaluable asset, leading me to unique and significant roles. I worked alongside underwater archeologists, providing essential support to their expeditions as they unearthed history from the seabed. This experience evolved into a passion for sharing the ocean's wonders with others, sparking me to lead countless scuba dive charters. My commitment to safety and knowledge also earned trusted positions as a Dive Safety Officer on a variety of feature films and TV shows, where I was responsible for the well-being of performers and crew in complex underwater productions.
Today, all of my experience and passion have found their home at TIDAL, a scuba diving nonprofit. This is more than a job—it is the culmination of my life's work. At TIDAL, I'm dedicated to exploration and education, driven by a deep desire to show and teach people what the rest of the 70% of the Earth has to offer. I believe that by revealing the secrets of the deep, I can inspire a new generation of explorers and stewards of the ocean.
Diving and movies have offered many adventures, but my greatest adventure is my family. I share this life with my best friend and partner, Amy Vogt, and together we have five children and four grandchildren, who are his most cherished companions on dry land.
